Ken Barrington was the first player to win the Walter Lawrence Trophy after it was re-introduced in 1966. Between 1966 and 1970 the Trophy was awarded for the fastest century in Test Cricket. Ken scored his award winning century off just 122 balls while playing for England against Australia in Melbourne.
