Richard Johnson’s Trophy-winning century was scored for Somerset against Durham at Riverside, Chester-le-Street, on the 16th of August. Rain had prevented play on the first two days and, on the fourth and final day, Somerset were just 12 runs ahead of Durham’s 231 all out when Johnson went to the crease. In just 73 minutes he scored an unbeaten 101 and added 157 for the ninth wicket in an unbroken partnership of 157 with Aaron Laraman. His hundred came from 63 balls and included six sixes and nine fours.
